Lisa Ivorian-Jones

Lisa Ivorian-Jones is an independent art producer, curator, and advisor based in New York. Bringing over two decades of international experience, Lisa established Ivorian-Jones Fine Art in 2002, creating a platform for her different roles in the contemporary art community. In addition to her work with institutions to produce special artist projects and commissions, Lisa works with private clients on the acquisition of contemporary art to build dynamic collections.

Lisa works closely with many artists of renown, often before their careers have found international acclaim, including, but not limited to: Tauba Auerbach, Lynda Benglis, Kerstin Brätsch, Sascha Braunig, Janet Cardiff, Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg, Olafur Eliasson, Ryan Gander, Liz Glynn, Andy Goldsworthy, Camille Henrot, Jim Hodges, William Kentridge, Jim Lambie, Julie Mehretu, Elizabeth Peyton, Martin Puryear, Rob Pruitt, Rudolf Stingel, and Henry Taylor.

Current special artist projects in development include a new limited edition series with artist Sarah Sze, produced on behalf of the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, Lisa’s long-term client.

Throughout her career, Lisa has worked as a publisher for the Aldrich Museum; an advisor for Artwise Art Consultants, London (acquiring art and commissioning new artworks for British Airways and Virgin Atlantic); a curator for the Royal College of Art, London; a curator for The Wrong Gallery; a curator for the New Museum’s Ideas Festival; and a guest curator for Artist’s Space, New York. She also writes on art and artists’ work, most recently published in Ursula Magazine.

Lisa received an MA in History of Art (with Honors) from St. Andrews University, Scotland, and an MA in Post-War and Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute, London.
